Steps towards developing academic cooperation between faculties


On 24–26 March 2026, as part of the ‘Symposium on Research in the Field of Eurasian History, Language and Culture’, organised jointly by the Atatürk Higher Institute of Culture, Language and History, the Turkish Historical Society, the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University and Ankara University, an important bilateral meeting took place. During the meeting, the foundations were laid for a new process of academic cooperation between the Faculty of Humanities at the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University  and the Faculty of Language, History and Geography at Ankara University.

The meeting, attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities at KTMU, Prof. Dr Alpaslan Ashyk, the Dean of the Faculty of Language, History and Geography at Ankara University, Prof. Dr Irfan Albayrak, as well as lecturers from both faculties, the academics had the opportunity to get to know one another and exchange views on the current state of the humanities. The deans of both faculties discussed the potential of their institutions and possible joint academic activities. Following the meeting, it was decided to organise an online meeting in the near future to identify specific actions to be taken within the framework of the cooperation.
