A Meaningful Visit to the Special Boarding Secondary School for Hearing-Impaired and Deaf Children

On April 2, 2026, a group of 35 second-year students from Psychological Counseling and Guidance program visited the Special Boarding Secondary School for Hearing-Impaired and Deaf Children in Bishkek under the supervision of Dr. Kadiyan Boobekova.

During the visit, the students had the opportunity to meet the school administration and teachers. Divided into groups, they observed classes at the primary, middle, and high school levels and participated in lessons, gaining firsthand insight into the educational process. The participation of hearing-impaired and deaf students in classes, their efforts to learn, and their communication methods left a deep impression on the visiting students.

Following the classroom observations, the university students met with the school administration and teachers to share their observations and ask questions about topics they were curious about. The school administrators and teachers provided comprehensive information about the school’s historical development, educational practices, student profile, family collaboration, vocational guidance, and the challenges faced in the field of special education.

Additionally, as part of the visit, clothing packages prepared for boarding students with limited financial means were presented to the school administration, and a printer was provided in line with the school’s needs.

The visit, marked by emotional moments, concluded with commemorative photographs. The participating students stated that the experience was highly meaningful and productive for them.
