On October 6, 2026, the Department of Educational Science organized a seminar on “Mevlana’s Teachings.” The seminar was conducted by Prof. Dr. Akmatali Alimbekov.
The opening remarks were delivered by Prof. Dr. Yücel Öksüz, Head of the Department of Educational Science. Faculty members and students of the Department of Educational Science participated in the event.
During the seminar, Prof. Dr. Akmatali Alimbekov discussed Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi’s views on education, humanity, and morality. The presentation addressed topics such as self-awareness, the role of education and knowledge in personal development, putting acquired knowledge into practice, and discovering one’s inner potential for development.
The seminar also focused on the place of the Masnavi in educational culture, the importance of taking individual differences into account in education, developing approaches based on students’ individual characteristics, and the concept of tolerance.
The program also addressed values such as generosity, compassion, humility, love, and forgiveness within the framework of Mevlana’s Seven Teachings.
The closing remarks were delivered by Prof. Dr. Yücel Öksüz, Head of the Department of Educational Science. At the end of the event, Prof. Dr. Yücel Öksüz presented a certificate of appreciation to Prof. Dr. Akmatali Alimbekov for his contribution to the seminar.
