Student Research Competition "Path of Science" at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University
On April 25, 2024 the Department of Philology of the Faculty of Humanities of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University organized a student research competition "Path of Science". The program has served as a platform for the students’ knowledge exchange and scientific communication dedicated to research in the field of language and literature.
The competition began with a Plenary Session where graduate students presented their research papers. The Plenary Session continued with the Literature and Language Sessions divided into four groups, each focusing on different aspects of linguistics and literature topics. The students' papers covered a wide range of topics and were presented in five languages: Kyrgyz, Turkish, English, Russian and Chinese.
Distinguishing point of the competition was the students’ high-quality reporting skills. The students demonstrated high proficiency and deep understanding of their topics. Besides sharing the results of their research the students participated in discussions, answered questions.
At the closing ceremony all participants were given the certificates, and the best presentations were awarded valuable prizes.
The “Path of Science” competition at the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University has shown the students’ readiness for scientific research and their ability to work productively in a multilingual environment; such events promote the development of academic communication, deepening knowledge and exchange of experience between students.
