On February 19, 2026, as part of the ongoing seminar series organized by the Department of Philosophy within the Faculty of Humanities at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, a seminar titled “The Role and Transformation of Philosophy in a Globalized World” was held.
The keynote presentation was delivered by Professor Zhyldyz Urmanbetova (Doctor of Philosophical Sciences), Head of the Department of Philosophy. The seminar provided an extensive analysis of both the theoretical and practical significance of philosophy in the era of globalization. Professor Urmanbetova emphasized how modern socio-cultural transformations, digital advancements, and global integration processes are reshaping philosophical inquiry and human consciousness.
Furthermore, the seminar highlighted the methodological functions of philosophy, its vital role in shaping public consciousness, and its importance in fostering interdisciplinary research. Faculty members and students actively participated in the session, engaging in a vibrant academic discussion.
