On April 15, 2026, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic titled “National Spirit – World Heights,” an interuniversity student scientific-practical conference titled “National Consciousness and Spiritual Heritage in the Era of Globalization” was held at I. Arabaev Kyrgyz State University (KSU). The conference was attended by the Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation at KSU, Aigul Chaldanbaeva, faculty members from various universities, and students from Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, KNU, Osh State University, BSU, KSMA, as well as international students from the People’s Republic of China.
At the plenary session of the conference, Abidin Cholponkulov, a fourth-year student of the Department of Philosophy at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, presented his research on "The Culture Industry and Youth in the Digital Era: A Socio-Philosophical Analysis." In his presentation, Abidin provided an in-depth examination of the impact of modern algorithmic social networks on society. He offered a scientific analysis of how algorithms on digital platforms restrict freedom of choice and limit the user’s worldview. Furthermore, he raised critical issues regarding the negative effects of algorithms on critical thinking among youth and the transformation of national identity.
The conference participants reached a unanimous conclusion that in the age of globalization and digitalization, it is essential to foster critical consciousness among the youth and develop a profound understanding of technological processes to preserve national values. At the conclusion of the conference, the organizers presented the students with certificates of participation.
