CONDUCTING CORPUS-BASED CONTRASTIVE LANGUAGE RESEARCH

On January 28, 2026, a seminar dedicated to the practical use of language corpora for language comparison was held. The seminar was organized with the aim of developing practical skills in working with corpus tools in the field of comparative linguistics.

During the seminar, participants gained hands-on experience with corpus-based research methods: searching and extracting linguistic data, frequency analysis, and comparing lexical and grammatical units across different languages. Particular attention was paid to specific corpus platforms and tools.

Practical exercises allowed participants to independently conduct mini-research projects based on real corpus data, contributing to a deeper understanding of the potential of the corpus approach in comparative linguistics.
