Literature Night Named ''Those Who Do Not Love Their Mother Tongue Cannot Be of Use to Their People''
The event organized by our department students brought together literature enthusiasts and brought unforgettable works from both local and world literature to the stage. The event began with readings of works by Kyrgyz poets and writers. Selections from the works of Chingiz Aytmatov, one of the important names in classical Kyrgyz literature, were presented, and the students made the audience experience emotional moments. In addition, poems and stories written by young writers attracted great attention at the event. One of the most striking parts of the night was the short performances staged from world literature.
One of the event organizers, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elmira ABDILDAYEVA, a university faculty member, said, “Our aim is to both introduce Kyrgyz literature and increase young people’s interest in literature. We aim to strengthen our cultural ties with such events.” The literature night was enriched with music and dance shows, turning into a cultural feast. The participants enthusiastically applauded the students’ creative performances throughout the day.
