Ramadan Panel at Manas University

On March 6, 2024, Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University`s Faculty of Theology organized the Ramadan Panel at the Kasym Tynystanov Conference Hall as part of the Social Responsibility Project. During the panel, experts in their fields discussed various aspects of fasting and shared information with the participants.

Prof. Dr. Bekir Tatlı, Head of the Department of Theology, who led the panel, emphasized the spiritual atmosphere of the month of Ramadan and said, “During Ramadan, we will bring you our special programs during iftar and sahur hours through Manas Television and Manas Radio.”

The first speaker of the panel, Dean of the Faculty of Theology Prof. Dr. Hasan Ayık, explained the effects of fasting on human moral development in detail with his presentation titled “Moral Aspects of Fasting.”

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bakyt Murzaraimov, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Theology, shared important information by emphasizing the similarities and differences between religions in his presentation on “Fasting in Religions.”

Assist. Prof. Dr. Aitmamat Kariev's presentation, titled “Fiqh Rulings of Fasting,” effectively engaged the audience by delving into the fiqh aspects of fasting.

Gulfiya Gubaydullina, Doctor of KTMU Martyr Eren Bulbul Healthcare Center, in her presentation on “Fasting and Health,” emphasized the importance of healthy living and healthy nutrition by discussing the positive effects of fasting on health.

The event was held in an interactive atmosphere among students, academicians, and interested participants, and the sincere and informative presentations of the speakers were highly appreciated. The panel ended with the presentation of certificates to the participants.
