Training Program on “Ecotourism and Protected Areas” Successfully Completed at Manas University

Between March 26th and 28th, 2024, the 3-day training program was organized for the staff of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic in cooperation with KTMU Continuing Education Center and the Faculty of Tourism.

The training program, attended by 31 participants in total, was delivered by KTMU Faculty of Engineering Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nurzat Totubaeva; Faculty of Tourism Deputy Dean, Assist. Prof. Dr. Naryngul Margazieva; and Head of the Department of Travel Business and Tourism Guidance, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bakyt Turdumambetov. The participants were provided with important information on “Ecotourism and Protected Areas.”

On March 28, 2024, Manas University`s Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan; Deputy Rector, Dr. Baktygul Kalambekova; Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, Prof. Dr. Yasin Boylu; Head of KTMUSEM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erkan Efilti and Deputy Head of the Department of Biodiversity Protection and Special Protection Areas of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic Talantbek Turdumatov attended the certificate ceremony.

In his opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erkan Efilti emphasized the importance of the scientific studies offered by Manas University to Kyrgyz society, stating, “Our university is determined to spread our scientific activities to every corner of Kyrgyzstan. This course represents an important step towards this goal.” Expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the training program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erkan Efilti stated that similar collaborations would continue in the coming period.

The program concluded with the presentation of certificates to the participants.
