Manas University Hosted a Panel Discussion on “World Veterinary Day”

On April 26, 2024, the special panel on “World Veterinary Day” was organized by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University's Congress and Culture Center.

Rector of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan; Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Prof. Dr. İsmail Shen; Director of the Veterinary Chamber of the Kyrgyz Republic Kubatbek Mamatkulov, as well as many academicians and students participated in the program.

The event commenced with the national anthems of both countries and proceeded with the screening of a specially prepared video by the Turkish Veterinary Medical Association.

During the opening speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Prof. Dr. İsmail Shen emphasized that veterinarians have made significant contributions to humanity throughout history and have been a source of hope. Prof. Dr. Shen stated that as a faculty, they are committed to their mission of contributing to society and animal health by educating well-equipped and conscientious veterinarians. He also expressed gratitude to those who contributed to the panel prepared by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

Rector, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan congratulated the faculty members and students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine on World Veterinary Day. Prof. Dr. Ceylan emphasized that Manas University`s Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is the most successful faculty in Central Asia. He expressed gratitude to all those behind this success, especially Prof. Dr. Huseyin Karadag. In his speech, Prof. Dr. Ceylan highlighted the success of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and mentioned that the laboratories and studies conducted at the faculty support quality education.

Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Askarbek Tulobaev, who led the panel, drew attention to the meaning and importance of Veterinary Day. Panelists discussed topics such as “The World of the Future and Food,” “Regulation of Veterinary Services According to Market Economy” and “Working Areas of Veterinarians.” At the end of the panel, certificates of appreciation were presented to the panelists for their contributions.
