Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University continues to be a leading institution with achievements on international platforms.
The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic - Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov held a meeting with rectors of universities ranked in QS Asia Universities Rankings. Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan and Deputy Rector Prof. Dr. Almaz İbrayev attended the meeting.
Akylbek Japarov stated that significant progress has been made in Kyrgyzstan’s education system and emphasised that this success is an indicator of innovative developments in higher education. “Our purpose is to create strong and competitive that meet global standards. In addition to this, we are taking necessary steps to modernize Kyrgyzstan by improving the region’s education and scientific potential,” and he stated that the efforts to improve the quality of education must continue constantly.
Chairman Japarov stated that priority will be given to improving international collaborations, encouraging scientific research, supporting technological innovations, modernizing laboratories, and strengthening academic reputation.
KTMU is the Best University in Kyrgyzstan
Six universities in Kyrgyzstan are ranked in the QS Asia Universities Rankings. Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University has placed 1st in Kyrgyzstan and 230th worldwide in the QS Asia Universities Rankings, proved once again that it is the leading university in the country worldwide.
Osh State University and the American University of Central Asia are ranked 260th, B. Yeltsin Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University is ranked 333rd, and J. Balasagyn Kyrgyz National University and I. Razzakov Kyrgyz State Technical University are ranked 381st.
In the regional university ranking of Central Asia, KTMU holds an important position by ranking 10th among 65 universities in the region. Osh State University and the Central Asia American University are in 13th place, Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University is in 19th place, and Kyrgyz National University is in 25th place.
The international ranking is determined based on criteria such as the academic and employer reputation of universities, the student-to-faculty ratio, the proportion of foreign faculty and students, the number of staff with scientific titles, the effectiveness of online resources, and the number of publications per faculty member.
