An important cooperation agreement was signed between Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU) and the “Kyrgyz Courchevel” State Enterprise under the Department of Presidential Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The signing ceremony took place on February 4, 2025, at the Rectorate of Manas University and was attended by the Director of the “Kyrgyz Courchevel” State Enterprise Zharkynbek Maksutov, KTMU Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan, Deputy Rector Prof. Dr. Almaz Ibraev, and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Kamalbek Karymshakov.
According to the memorandum, KTMU and the “Kyrgyz Courchevel” will collaborate within the framework of the “Three Peaks” project to enhance personnel training, specialist education, and professional development in the field of alpine skiing tourism. The agreement also aims to involve local experts in the development of the region’s ski tourism.
Both organizations are committed to fostering professional skills in ski tourism, implementing international standards in the management of recreational facilities, and launching training programs tailored to the evolving needs of the tourism sector. This collaboration will include joint activities, internship programs, academic exchanges, and the participation of foreign experts in the training process.
The “Three Peaks” project is a large ski cluster being developed in Kyrgyzstan, with the goal of transforming the country into a globally recognized ski tourism destination.
