A delegation from Pazmany Peter Catholic University in Budapest visited Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University on March 6, 2025. The Hungarian delegation was welcomed by the Rector of Manas University, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan, Deputy Rector Prof. Dr. Almaz Ibraev, and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Recai Doğan.
The delegation included the Consul of the Embassy of Hungary in Kyrgyzstan Dyord Tar; the Head of the International Office at the Faculty of Information Technologies and Bionics of Pazmany Peter Catholic University Andrea Mihalffy; the International Coordinator at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Agnes Reviczky-Balogh; the International Coordinator of the Central Office for Foreign Affairs Judit Zombori; and the Head of the Central Office for Foreign Affairs Bence Tamassy.
During the visit, both parties highlighted that Manas University was the first university in Kyrgyzstan to sign a cooperation agreement with Pazmany Peter Catholic University as part of the cooperation protocol signed in 2024.
The cooperation will include exchange programs for academic staff, researchers, and students, as well as joint scientific events, seminars, congresses, and workshops. Both universities are committed to continuing this partnership, which will contribute to scientific advancement.
Rector of Manas University, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan described the cooperation between the two universities as a significant milestone. He expressed confidence that these strong ties would lead to numerous scientific projects in the long term. He also expressed his satisfaction with the visit and emphasized that the collaboration would contribute to academic and cultural growth in both countries.
At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation toured Manas University’s Manas Television studios and received detailed information about the university’s advanced media infrastructure. The delegation members expressed their appreciation for the modern studios and technical equipment, recognizing Manas University's media infrastructure as a valuable asset for both Kyrgyzstan and the university.
This visit marked an important step in strengthening the academic and cultural ties between the two universities.
