Nowruz Exhibition at Manas University: The Center of Art

On March 20, 2025, Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University marked Nowruz with an unforgettable painting exhibition at the Kurmancan Datka Art Gallery, celebrating the spirit of the festival through art.

Delivering the opening speech, Manas University’s Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan emphasized that Nowruz is more than just a spring festival—it is a shared cultural heritage that unites the Turkic World. Highlighting its symbolism of peace, brotherhood, and unity, he noted that the artworks portraying the common past and future of the Turkic World through the universal language of art offer immense cultural value. He also expressed his gratitude to the artists and faculty members who contributed to the exhibition.

In his speech, Head of the Department of Painting, Instructor Adilet Canapilov remarked that Nowruz is a symbol of friendship and solidarity not only in Kyrgyzstan but throughout the entire Turkic World.

The collective exhibition, featuring works by 14 distinguished Kyrgyz artists, shared with art lovers the colors and spirit of traditional Nowruz. This special event, which reinforced the aesthetic and cultural bonds of the Turkic World, garnered significant attention from art enthusiasts. This visual feast, presented by Manas University provided a unique experience for those wishing to explore the meaning of Nowruz from an artistic perspective.
