Faculty of Tourism Hosts Annual “Traditional Career Day”
The Traditional Career Day organized by the Faculty of Tourism of Manas University brought together students and representatives from the tourism sector. The opening ceremony was attended by Vice Rector of Manas University Prof. Dr. Kamalbek Karymshakov, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism Prof. Dr. Yasin Boylu, esteemed faculty members, and students. The event also welcomed leading representatives of the tourism sector, including Sheraton Hotel, Royal Beach, Bishkek Walks, Kaynar Group, Sofia Hotel, Supara, Kyrgyz Concept, Pegas Touristik, Orion, and Ulush Travel.
In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Karymshakov highlighted the vital role of the tourism sector in regional development and employment. He expressed his gratitude to the participating institutions for their contributions to the Career Day and for guiding the students. Prof. Dr. Karymshakov also noted that graduates of the Faculty of Tourism have a competitive advantage in securing employment and that the sector offers significant career opporunities for students.
Dean of the Faculty of Tourism Prof. Dr. Yasin Boylu noted that this is the second Career Day organized by the Faculty this year. “We believe that by bringing together the dreams of our students and the realities of the industry, this event will be a great success,” he said, expressing confidence that the event will achieve its goals.
During the event, which took place at the KTMU Faculty of Tourism and attracted wide participation, students had the opportunity to engage one-on-one with 27 prominent tourism sector representatives. The program featured presentations on internship and job opportunities, career guidance sessions, and special promotional panels designed to foster collaboration between the university and the industry.
The event provided valuable opportunities for students to shape their future careers and deepen their understanding of the tourism field.
