Rector of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU), Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan visited Satıbaldı Köçörbay uulu, a member of the university’s administrative staff, who is currently undergoing treatment in the Maxillofacial Surgery Department of Erzurum Atatürk University Research Hospital.
Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan was accompanied during the visit by Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Aşık; Advisor to the Rector and academic staff member of the Faculty of Theology Prof. Dr. Kemal Polat; and Head of the Department of History at Yalova University and Advisor to the Rector of KTMU Prof. Dr. Oktay Özgül.
During the visit, Prof. Dr. Ceylan was briefed in detail by the hospital’s specialist physicians and extended his gratitude to Prof. Dr. Ümit Ertaş, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Akyüz, who led the operation and the entire medical team who contributed to the recovery of Satıbaldı Köçörbay uulu.
“The Ancient Brotherhood Must be Kept Alive in Both Good Times and Bad”
Prof. Dr. Ceylan emphasized the significance of the support provided by Erzurum, his birthplace and Atatürk University in strengthening the bond between Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye. He stated, “It is our foremost duty to keep our ancient brotherhood alive not only in good times but also during times of hardship.”
Highlighting the collaborative efforts of both Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University and Atatürk University in supporting Satıbaldı Köçörbay uulu’s treatment and recovery, Prof. Dr. Ceylan added, “Throughout this process, I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to the Rector of Atatürk University, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, the esteemed physicians and healthcare staff of the Research Hospital, the students, and the entire Manas family for their unwavering support.”
