Strong Step by KTMU for Turkic World Academia: A Comprehensive Cooperation Protocol Signed with Atatürk University

Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU) has signed another significant agreement aimed at deepening academic cooperation across the Turkic world. KTMU Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan and Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu signed an academic cooperation protocol covering education, research, and scientific interaction between the two universities.

The protocol, which will remain in force for five years, aims to strengthen KTMU’s academic networks and increase joint scientific output in line with its internationalization vision. Through this agreement, the two institutions seek to establish a sustainable, planned, and trust-based framework for institutional cooperation.

Shared Vision in Education and Research

Within the scope of the protocol, it is envisaged that joint educational and scientific activities will be organized, faculty and student exchange programs will be implemented, and researchers and particularly postgraduate students will be encouraged to take part in collaborative projects. In addition, seminars, academic meetings, short-term academic programs, as well as the sharing of publications, materials, and information are among the main areas of cooperation.

It was stated that student exchange programs will be planned to cover one or two semesters or a full academic year, and that all activities will be carried out in accordance with the academic regulations of both universities and through annual mutual agreements.

“KTMU Is a Carrier of a Shared Academic Vision”

Following the signing ceremony, KTMU Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan emphasized that the agreement would contribute to scientific integration among universities of the Turkic world. Ceylan stated: “This cooperation we have established with Atatürk University is a strategic step that brings our shared history and culture together with contemporary scientific production. I believe that this protocol will create new opportunities for our academics and students and pave the way for lasting academic relationships of an international nature.”

Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu also noted in his remarks that the agreement with KTMU is not limited to cooperation between two institutions alone, but rather serves to strengthen a shared academic vision across the Turkic world.

With this signed protocol, Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University continues to resolutely pursue international collaborations centered on knowledge production, academic mobility, and institutional solidarity within the Turkic world.
