Rector Prof. Dr. Ceylan Participates in the “Images of the Year” Voting
Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University’s Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan participates in the “Images of the Year” voting organized by Anadolu Agency, which features photographs reflecting the events and moments that left their mark on 2025, as seen through the agency’s lens.
Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan reviewed 112 photographs taken by Anadolu Agency’s reporters and photojournalists both in Türkiye and abroad, prepared with the contributions of Roketsan, Ajet, and Lifebox. The photos were presented in six categories: “News,” “Natural Life and Environment,” “Sports,” “Daily Life,” as well as the special categories added this year, “Gaza: Hunger” and “Portrait.”
In the “Gaza: Hunger” category, Prof. Dr. Ceylan selected Ali Jadallah’s photograph titled “Yezen’s Health Worsens Due to Malnutrition in Gazza”. In the “Portrait” category, he voted for Özkan Bilgin’s frame titled “Mounted Justice.”
In the “News” category, Prof. Dr. Ceylan chose Muhammed Abdullah Kurtar’s photograph titled “Everywhere,” while in the “Sports” category, he selected Ağıt Erdi Ulukaya’s work titled “Tradition Begins in the Family.”
He voted for Umut Karahasanoğlu’s photograph titled “Our Homeland, the Stars” in the “Natural Life and Environment” category, and preferred Elif Öztürk’s frame titled “Another World” in the “Daily Life” category.
Following the voting, Prof. Dr. Ceylan emphasized that all the photographs in the competition were the product of great effort and congratulated Anadolu Agency’s reporters and photojournalists for their successful work.
