Special Ramadan Flavors at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University on Manas TV

The “Blessed Ramadan” program, produced by Manas Television operating within Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, brings the spirit of unity, sharing, and cultural richness of Ramadan to viewers screens. Alongside religious discussions that enrich the spiritual experience, the program showcases select delicacies from Turkistan and Anatolian cuisine that that bring richness to Ramadan meals.

Sahur and iftar meals are prepared with contributions from the spouses of the university’s academic staff and the Faculty of Tourism, introducing the traditional culinary culture of different regions of Türkiye. In this context, authentic recipes from various parts of Anatolia, particularly Kahramanmaraş, Erzurum, Konya, and Gaziantep are featured on the program.

The program highlights the preparation processes of the dishes, their regional characteristics, rich cultural diversity, and their significance on Ramadan tables.

Reflecting the university’s vision of supporting cultural diversity and bringing together the rich gastronomic heritage of the Turkic world at a single table, the “Blessed Ramadan” program will continue to be broadcast on Manas Television during iftar hours throughout the month of Ramadan.
