Embracing the vision of being “More Than Just a University” in every field from education to social responsibility, Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU) has once again demonstrated its student-centered approach through a meaningful solidarity project. The university’s traditional charity bazaar once again became a strong example of social responsibility by touching the lives of students in need.
The traditional charity bazaar, organized at the Oba Garden located on the KTMU Chyngyz Aitmatov Campus, was held with the contributions of the academic and administrative staff of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University and their spouses. Bringing the university family together around a shared spirit of goodwill, the event stood out as a powerful reflection of solidarity, sharing, and social responsibility awareness.
The proceeds from the annual charity bazaar, organized under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Nezahat Ceylan, a faculty member of the Department of History at the Faculty of Humanities of KTMU, were once again allocated this year to the successfully maintained “Clothing Donation” project carried out within the university. In this way, the meaningful organization, conducted with a strong sense of social responsibility, evolved into a sustainable support model directly contributing to students’ needs. Commenting on the project, Prof. Dr. Nezahat Ceylan emphasized that the initiative not only provides financial support but also further strengthens the culture of solidarity and sharing within the university community. Expressing her gratitude to the academic and administrative staff, their spouses, and all members of the Manas University family who contributed to the project, Prof. Dr. Ceylan stated: “Standing by our students, finding solutions to their needs, and keeping the spirit of solidarity alive is a great source of happiness for us. This project, which continues every year, is a strong indicator of our university’s vision of social responsibility.”
Within the scope of the “Clothing Donation” project, which is carried out with a student-centered approach, the revenues generated from the charity bazaars are used to meet students’ needs during both the fall and spring semesters of each academic year. The store established in a specially allocated area within the KTMU student dormitories is regularly replenished with new, high-quality, stylish, and practical clothing items and made available to both female and male students. Students can comfortably obtain the clothing they need from this thoughtfully prepared space
