Deputy Rector of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU), Prof. Dr. Almaz Ibraev held academic cooperation meetings at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU), one of Kazakhstan’s leading higher education institutions.
Deputy Rector Prof. Dr. Ibraev met with KazNU Board Member and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alina Galeyeva. The meeting was also attended by KazNU Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bekjan Meyrbayev. During the discussions, existing cooperation opportunities between the two universities were reviewed, and ways to further develop academic relations were addressed.
Key Areas of Cooperation
The meeting focused on student and academic staff mobility, joint scientific research projects, educational collaborations, and potential future joint initiatives. Both sides emphasized the importance of internationalization in higher education and reached a consensus on strengthening mutual cooperation.
Prof. Dr. Almaz Ibraev stated that developing academic ties between universities offers significant opportunities for both students and academicians, adding that the meeting with KazNU was productive in terms of future joint work.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alina Galeyeva underlined the importance of strengthening cooperation among leading universities in Central Asia. She noted that such engagements contribute to building a common educational space, sharing academic experience, and improving the quality of higher education in the region.
