MANAS E-LAB Project Annual Progress Review Workshop Held at İzmir Kâtip Çelebi University

The Annual Progress Review Workshop of the European Union–funded project “Management of New Approaches to Student Entrepreneurship and Sustainability – Local Action Development (MANAS E-LAB)”, which aims to establish sustainable entrepreneurship ecosystems in higher education institutions in Kyrgyzstan, was held on 18-19 June 2026 at İzmir Kâtip Çelebi University, one of the project partners.

The workshop brought together representatives from partner institutions in Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, and Spain. Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University was represented by Project Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azamat Maksüdünov, along with researchers Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seyil Najimudinova and Lecturer Dr. Nurgul Karybekova. During the event, the first eight months of project implementation were comprehensively evaluated.

On the first day of the workshop, participants reviewed the activities carried out to date, the outputs achieved, and the progress made toward project objectives. They also exchanged views on upcoming activities planned for the next phase of implementation.

On the second day, a “Training of Trainers” program was conducted with contributions from project partners from Spain and Türkiye. The program focused on entrepreneurship education, innovative teaching methodologies, and international best practice examples for developing entrepreneurship ecosystems. In addition, the training materials prepared within the scope of the project were evaluated, and recommendations regarding implementation processes were discussed.

Contribution to the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in Kyrgyzstan

Coordinated by Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, the MANAS E-LAB Project aims to strengthen the entrepreneurial missions of so-called third-generation universities in Kyrgyzstan, enhance students’ entrepreneurial knowledge and skills, and foster university–industry collaboration. Through the establishment of entrepreneurship laboratories, the development of training programs, and international partnerships, the project seeks to contribute to the creation of a sustainable and innovative entrepreneurship ecosystem in Kyrgyzstan.
