According to the Islamic belief, it is Allah who informs the religion through revelation. All true religions came from God. They have survived as long as they preserve their originality. The first man is also the first prophet and the religion revealed to him is the religion of tawhid. The existence and oneness of Allah, prophethood and belief in the hereafter are unchangeable principles in all divine religions. For this reason, the common name of the true religion brought by all the prophets from Adam to Muhammad is Islam. However, throughout history, people have moved away from the true religion as a result of human weaknesses and turned to wrong ways and superstitions. Because of this corruption in religion, Allah sent prophets again. The prophets either invited people to the old true religions or taught them a new religion and Sharia.
