1. Resurgence:
Resurrection is one of the important phases of the hereafter. According to the belief of Ahl as-Sunnah, resurrection will occur both in body and spirit.
2. Resurrection and Judgment
Hashir: It is Allah's gathering people together after the resurrection to bring them to account.
Mahshar: The place where people gather to give an account is called mahshar or arasât.
3. Distribution of Amal Books
After people gather to see their accounts, they are given a book of deeds in which the deeds they did while they were on earth are written.
Records of deeds are given to the people of Paradise from the right, those of Hell to the left or from the back. Those whose notebooks are given from the right are called “ashab al yamin”, and those whose notebook is given from the left or behind are called “ashab al shimal”. Giving the notebook from the right is good news, while giving it from the left is a harbinger of torment.
4. Judgment
People will be brought to account by Almighty Allah after they take their amal book in their hands and see the deeds they have done in that book. During the reckoning and questioning, apart from the book of deeds, the organs of man and the beings on earth will also witness what man has done.
