Ramadan Panel at Manas University


The Ramadan Panel was held by KTMU Faculty of Theology within the scope of the Social Responsibility Project at Kasım Tınıstanov Conference Hall on March 6, 2024. In the panel, experts in their fields discussed various aspects of fasting and shared information with the participants.

The panel was moderated by Prof. Dr. Bekir Tatli Department of Islamic Sciences Head of KTMU Faculty of Theology. Tatli emphasized the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan and said, that "We will prepare our special programs during iftar and sahur hours through Manas Television and Manas Radio throughout the month of Ramadan." 

The first speaker of the panel was Dean of the Faculty of Theology, Prof. Dr. Hasan Ayik with his presentation titled "The Moral Aspect of Fasting." Hasan Ayik explained to the audience in detail the effects of fasting on human moral development.

Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Theology, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bakyt Murzaraimov shared important information by emphasizing the similarities and differences between religions in his presentation titled "Fasting in Religions."

Asst. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aitmamat Kariev's presentation titled "Fiqh Provisions of Fasting" introduced the audience to the fiqh dimensions of fasting.

KTMU Martyr Eren Bülbül Health Center Doctor Gülfiya Gubaydullina, in her presentation titled "Fasting and Health", emphasized the importance of healthy living and healthy nutrition by discussing the positive effects of fasting on health.

While the event took place in an interactive atmosphere among students, academicians and other participants, the sincere and informative presentations of the speakers were greatly appreciated.

The panel ended with the presentation of certificates to the participants.
