Rational-Based Divisions of the Hanafis
As part of the social responsibility activities of the 2025 Spring Semester, an event titled "Rational-Based Divisions of the Hanafis" was held on February 20, 2025, at the Faculty of Theology of Kyrgyzstan-Turkey Manas University. The event, organized under the in-service training program, was presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nail Karagöz. The purpose of the event was to refresh the professional knowledge of theology graduates and religious personnel working in various institutions, provide accurate and scientific information on fundamental religious topics, and establish a correct and sustainable understanding of religion. During the event, the divisions within Hanafism in terms of belief and their causes were discussed. The event focused on issues such as the state of Hanafism after the Mihne period, its attitude toward politics, and the reasons for internal divisions, such as whether or not to incorporate reason.
