Academic Seminar on “Maturdi's Understanding of Sunnah”
On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 11:00, Sabır Murataliev, a lecturer at the Faculty of Theology at KTMU, gave a seminar titled “Maturidi’s Understanding of the Sunnah”.
In the seminar, the approach of Maturidiyya, one of the Sunni schools of theology, to the concept of the sunnah was discussed in detail. Murataliev explained how Imam Maturidi evaluated the sunnah as a source of information, its relationship with the Quran, and how he positioned it within the framework of jurisprudence and hadith from historical and methodological aspects.
The seminar, which attracted the attention of the participants, ended with a question-answer session.
