Meetings were held within the scope of Minor Program cooperation between the Faculty of Theology, the Faculty of Communication, and the Faculty of Humanities of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University.
During the consultation meeting, issues such as increasing interfaculty academic interaction, enabling students to benefit more effectively from interdisciplinary education opportunities, and determining the principles regarding the scope of the minor program were discussed. It was emphasized that bringing together the academic knowledge of different disciplines would make a significant contribution to students’ intellectual development and professional competencies. In today’s context of social, cultural, and digital transformations, the complementary aspects of fields such as theology, communication, and literature have become more visible. The planned minor cooperation aims not only to enable students to deepen their knowledge in their primary field but also to familiarize them with the methods and perspectives of other disciplines.
Key discussion points included strengthening theology students’ skills in expression and analysis in the fields of communication and literature; enhancing communication students’ ethical and value-based perspectives; and improving literature students’ capacity for cultural analysis through religious and communication-oriented approaches. The meetings were concluded in a spirit of mutual goodwill and academic cooperation, in line with the university’s vision of promoting interdisciplinary education. Evaluation and planning activities related to the process are expected to continue in the upcoming period.
