A seminar titled “Methods of Memorizing the Holy Qur’an” was held for women

Within the framework of the Faculty’s 2026 social responsibility activities, a seminar titled “Methods of Memorizing the Holy Qur’an” was held for women on February 18, 2026. The seminar was organized by Camila Coraeva, a staff member of the Faculty of Theology at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, together with female students. Research Assistant Altınay Kurmanbekova delivered a presentation on the topic.

During the seminar, it was emphasized that methods of memorizing the Holy Qur’an should not rely solely on classical repetition techniques but should also be grounded in cognitive structuring and meaning-centered learning approaches. It was highlighted that practices such as reciting aloud, writing, listening, and regular reinforcement play a fundamental role in supporting attention, motivation, and memory retention. In this context, memorization activities conducted with planned discipline and pedagogical guidance were evaluated as an essential foundation for lasting learning and developing a deeper connection with the text.

Approximately 120 women attended the seminar and followed it with great interest. Officials stated that the program will continue every Thursday at the same time.
