The foundation of a family: choosing a spouse
Within the framework of the Faculty’s 2026 social responsibility activities, a seminar titled “The Foundation of Marriage: Choosing a Spouse” was held on April 14, 2026, for university students. The seminar was organized under the coordination of Zhamila Zhoraeva, a staff member of the Faculty of Theology at KTMU.
During the seminar, Begimay Nurlanova emphasized that the most important determinant of happiness and stability in marriage is the correct choice of a spouse. She noted that this process should be based not only on emotional closeness but also on value compatibility, communication skills, and mutual understanding.
She highlighted that conscious decision-making is increasingly important today, and that shared life goals, responsibility, respect, and trust must also be considered. Furthermore, it was stressed that choosing a spouse requires careful consideration and, as advised by the Prophet (PBUH), preference should be given to a pious partner.
