The Ethics of Speech in the Qur’an

As part of the 2026 social responsibility activities, the Faculty of Theology of Kyrgyzstan-Turkey Manas University organized a seminar for women titled “The Ethics of Speech in the Qur’an.” The event, held on April 16, 2026 under the coordination of faculty staff member Jamila Joraeva, attracted great interest from students.
During the seminar, Cibek Kencebek Kyzy emphasized the importance of using proper and effective language in communication. Through the Qur’anic style of addressing humanity, the program highlighted core moral principles such as honesty, kindness, and responsibility.
The seminar drew attention to the decisive role of speech in human relations and stressed that avoiding hurtful and offensive expressions is of great importance both for individual peace and social harmony. It was particularly emphasized that young people should act more consciously in their communication style and preserve these ethical principles not only in face-to-face interactions but also in digital environments.
Approximately 80 students attended the program, which was followed with great interest. At the end of the seminar, participants stated that they had gained valuable insights into building more constructive, respectful, and ethically grounded communication in daily life.
