KTMU STUDENT DORMITORY CONVERSATIONS: Lecturer Mirgul BEKMURZAYEVA
Within the KTMU Student House Conversations series, the guest of the 14.06.2022 Tuesday evening was Lecturer from the Faculty of Theology Mirgul BEKMURZAYEVA. Bekmurzaeva, who made a presentation titled "Our Moral Responsibilities", first touched upon what moral duties are in the religion of Islam. She explained that moral duties in Islam consist of five main parts. The first duty is duty to Allah, the Prophet and the Qur'an, the second is duty to ourselves, the third is duty to our family, the fourth is duty to the homeland and nation, and the fifth is duty to all people. The lecturer explained the duties towards Allah, the Prophet and the Qur'an based on verses and hadiths, and with stories from the past. She tried to explain the duties towards ourselves in the light of hadiths, dividing them into two: duties towards our body and towards our soul. The conversation was observed by the great interest.
