The international student scientific and practical conference titled “Sustainable Development Communication: Green Economy and Social Responsibility,” held within the scope of the festival, addressed the contemporary transformation of communication sciences from a multidimensional perspective. Focusing on environmental crises, media representations, corporate responsibility, and digital communication, the event enabled students not only to produce theoretical knowledge but also to critically engage with current global issues.

Conference sessions examined sustainable development through various dimensions within the framework of communication sciences. Sustainability was addressed not only as an environmental or economic concept but also as a process intertwined with institutional structures, media practices, and social meaning-making.

In the first session, sustainability was analyzed in relation to reputation management and the construction of public trust, while Environmental, Social, and Governance communications, green finance, and the role of artificial intelligence in institutional processes were discussed. The second session explored the impact of advertising and brand communication on ecological awareness, focusing particularly on “greenwashing” and green branding strategies.

The third session, centered on media and journalism, evaluated how environmental issues are represented in the media and their role in shaping public opinion. The final session added a cultural dimension to sustainable development discussions by examining the image of “Greater Altai” in Central Asian media. Overall, the sessions demonstrated how sustainability can be reinterpreted across different disciplines and contexts.

Rector of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan expressed great satisfaction with the students achievements in such a high-quality international event, emphasizing that this success is not coincidental. He underlined that the educational approach at KTMU is based not only on theoretical knowledge transfer but also on developing analytical thinking, practical skills, scientific production, and international competitiveness. Prof. Dr. Ceylan stated that the students performance in academic platforms and applied competitions is a natural outcome of the university’s quality-oriented education model and excellence-driven institutional structure, adding that these achievements once again confirm KTMU’s strong position in higher education.
