Academic Cooperation Protocol Signed Between Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University and Politecnico di Torino

An academic cooperation protocol aimed at strengthening collaboration has been signed between Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University and one of Italy’s leading technical universities Politecnico di Torino.

The Vice-Rector for International Affairs Assoc. Prof. Alberto Giuseppe Sapora, and Project Manager Prof. Pier Paolo Riviera from Politecnico di Torino visited Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University on March 27, 2026. During the visit, a protocol was signed to enhance academic cooperation between the two institutions.

Within the framework of the agreement, the parties agreed to collaborate on conducting joint scientific research, developing undergraduate and graduate student exchange programs, and increasing the mobility of academic staff and researchers. In addition, it is aimed to organize education, internship, and seminar programs in designated fields, ensure the exchange of knowledge and scientific publications, and strengthen student mobility through applied internship programs.

Following the signing ceremony, the delegation met with the academic staff of the Faculty of Engineering and held bilateral meetings. During these discussions, general evaluations were made regarding the academic studies and educational activities carried out within the Faculty of Engineering.

Located in the city of Turin, Politecnico di Torino is a well-established public university conducting education and research in the fields of engineering, architecture, design, and technology. Founded in 1859 as an engineering school, it took the name “Regio Politecnico di Torino” in the early 20th century and evolved into its current academic structure. It is considered one of Italy’s oldest and most prestigious technical universities and is also recognized among Europe’s leading technology-oriented academic institutions.
