The High School of Foreign Languages at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU) organized a charity food fair aimed at supporting those in need and fostering a culture of solidarity.

Coordinated by the Social Activities Commission, the event stood out as a model initiative designed to strengthen the spirit of unity within the academic community. Held at the university’s central campus, the food fair was attended by the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to Ankara and Bishkek Fathudin Ali Mohamed, along with his delegation, KTMU Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan, Secretary-General Fatih Ramazan İstanbullugil, Director of the High School of Foreign Languages Erdal Aydoğmuş, and numerous guests.

At the charity food fair, traditional dishes from Turkish and Kyrgyz cuisine were prepared and served through the voluntary contributions of academic and administrative staff and their families. Regarded as a tangible reflection of Manas University’s inclusive and socially responsible approach, the proceeds from the event will be used to support students in need through social assistance initiatives.

“We are not only a teaching institution, but one that instills values”

Emphasizing that such events represent one of the most visible reflections of the university’s people-centered approach and sense of social responsibility, Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan stated: “This collective effort, carried out on a voluntary basis by our academic and administrative staff together with our students, strengthens not only institutional belonging but also social awareness. We believe that such initiatives, which nurture a culture of solidarity, contribute to both the academic and personal development of our students. As a university, we will continue to support activities that engage with society and reinforce shared values, striving to be not only an institution that educates, but one that instills values.”
