MORAL INTERPRETATION OF TAWHID
On September 4, 2023 at 15.30 Dean of the Faculty of Theology PhD, Prof. Hasan Ayik held a conference on the topic "Moral Interpretation of Tawhid".
Hasan Ayik began his speech by saying that the belief in Tawhid, which is the basis of the Islamic faith, is usually interpreted theologically and therefore its moral interpretation is neglected. He further stated that the moral interpretation of the Tawhid faith should be based on the knowledge of marifetullah, which means knowledge of Allah, and that this could be based on the most beautiful names of Allah.
Hasan AYIK continued the moral interpretation of monotheism based on the most beautiful names of Allah, citing examples from Ghazali’s book on this topic.
The conference, which was attended by academic staff and students, concluded with a question and answer session on the topic.
