On October 19, 2023, in honor of the International Chef's Day, the Department of "Restaurant Business and Culinary Arts" of the Faculty of Tourism of KTU "Manas" held a conference on "The current state of training for catering". At the meeting were: representative of the Association of Chefs of Kyrgyzstan Alexander Ipatov, chef of the hotel "Hayat" Aibek Akmatov and teachers of the department Prof. Nurudin Kydiraliev, doc. Umit Yilmaz, Sapargul Turdubekova, Dinara Isakova, Dr. Gulmira Samatova, Nadira Turganbaeva, considered the issues of modern requirements and the state of culinary programs of universities of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as training for catering companies, discussed the issue of professional development of cooking teachers
