Research

The Department of Economics was founded in 1997 and has attracted some of the most-qualified professionals from Kyrgyzstan and Turkey. Along with teaching fundamental disciplines, the department organizes various scientific events. From the beginning of this academic year, there have been eight scientific conferences organized on topics such as globalization, economic integration, and transition economies. Five textbooks were published to help students study economics in the state language.

Between 2004 and 2014, 276 works were published by our faculty, including articles, textbooks, and monographs. Our faculty and staff are constantly improving their qualifications and exchange experience and actively participate in various scientific projects. We also publish a quarterly economics journal, Reforma, which features articles in Russian, Turkish, Kyrgyz and English on relevant economic topics.
