FOOD COMPOSITION TABLE OF KYRGYZSTAN IS PUBLISHED


The first national food composition table has been published by Assist. Prof. Dr. of Environmental Engineering of our university Janyl Iskakova and Professor Dr. Mukaram Musulmanova and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jamila Smanalieva of Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov and the engineer of Food Research Institute of the Slovak Republic National Agriculture and Food Center Dr. Anna Giertlova.

Many countries today have stable national food databases, which are updated from time to time. With the intensification of the globalization of the food market, the creation of regional and international databases is becoming more and more important. The food composition database is also important in clinical practice, sports nutrition, public health, health promotion, research and food production.

In this scientific study, information about the chemical composition and ingredients of wild fruits, meat and dairy products, national drinks, etc. and 11 national dishes is given in Kyrgyz and English. Data on food composition were collected in accordance with the standards of the international organization EuroFIR Excellence Network. The publication of the guide was supported by the Food Research Institute of the National Agriculture and Food Center of the Slovak Republic.
