Greetings from the Dean

Art is a universal form of expression that has persisted from the earliest eras of humanity to the present day, reflecting both the inner world of the individual and societal life. Therefore, education in fine arts is not merely the transmission of technical skills; it is a multidimensional process that broadens intellectual horizons, develops aesthetic perception, and encourages creative freedom.

Our faculty was established to support the academic development of our students, to enable them to embrace both the national and universal values of art, and to reinterpret our cultural heritage from a contemporary perspective. The Faculty of Fine Arts also makes a significant contribution to promoting our university through its scientific, artistic, and cultural activities.

Taking into account the interdisciplinary nature of art education, the Faculty of Fine Arts offers a wide range of programs that encompass both traditional art forms and contemporary artistic expressions. Every piece of knowledge and experience you gain here will not only enhance your individual artistic education but also prepare you to become artists, academics, and researchers grounded in scientific thinking, critical inquiry, innovation, and social responsibility.

Dear students, artistic creation is not only an individual act but also a reflection of social responsibility. Your ability to combine national cultural heritage with the universal values of contemporary art contributes to the preservation of collective memory and its transmission to future generations. The academic programs, workshops, exhibitions, performances, symposiums, and international collaborations at our faculty are designed to serve this purpose.

It should also be noted that in today’s world, art is not merely an aesthetic pursuit; it is a field closely integrated with cultural diplomacy, social communication, and technological developments. Therefore, we expect you to understand the transformative power of art, to integrate it with scientific methods, to be open to interdisciplinary work, and to create works that respond to the needs of the contemporary world.

Our faculty’s teaching staff consists of respected academics and artists from Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, and many other countries. Cultural groups affiliated with our faculty, such as the “Turkic World Music Orchestra,” the “Turkic World Music Ensemble,” the “Cetigen Komuz Group,” the “Turkic World Dance Ensemble,” and the “Daughters of Manas Dance Ensemble,” represent not only academic but also significant cultural value.

Through programs such as Orkhun, Mevlana, Erasmus, and international bilateral cooperation agreements, our students have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and experience at universities worldwide, particularly in Turkey. Graduates of our faculty, thanks to the high-quality education they receive, have opportunities to work in both the public and private sectors in many countries beyond Kyrgyzstan. Studying at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, one of the respected universities in the world, is a privilege for our students.

Every experience you encounter during your art education will open new horizons, and through your original designs and creations, you will contribute not only to your personal development but also to the cultural life of our faculty and country. I sincerely believe that through your unique works, research, and cultural contributions, you will take active roles in both the national and international art communities.

I extend my love, respect, and heartfelt regards to all our academic and administrative staff, as well as to our students.
