Seminar on the concepts of statehood in the epic “Manas”
On April 17, 2024, Professor M. Kozhobekov conducted a scientific seminar on the topic “Concepts of statehood in the epic “Manas”. In the epic “Manas” he compared and mentioned information about issues of statehood, legitimization of power and defense of the Motherland. Students also received information about the social relations of the Kyrgyz people, military art and national games, which are widely reflected in the epic.
At the end of the seminar, Professor Anvar Mokeev noted that the epic “Manas” contains information about ethnic history, social organization, statehood, ethnographic situation, historical toponymy, therefore the epic must be compared with archaeological and written historical sources and used in the study of the history of Kyrgyzstan.
