February 11-12, 2026. Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU) hosted a significant two-day training program titled "Contemporary Approaches to Language and Translation in the Era of Digitalization and Globalization." Organized by the academic staff of the Faculty of Humanities, Department of Translations (Kyrgyz-English Program), the 36-hour intensive course was conducted as a social responsibility initiative. The program brought together representatives and faculty members from several prominent higher education institutions across Kyrgyzstan (Jusup Balasagyn Kyrgyz National University, Naryn State University, K. Karasaev Bishkek State University, Osh State University and I. Arabaev Kyrgyz State University).
The training focused on innovative and practice-oriented modules designed to meet the demands of the digital age. Key topics included: Linguistic Text Corpora, Digitalization and Contemporary Sciences, Simultaneous Interpretation Methods, Developing Translation Skills. Beyond theoretical insights, hands-on workshops allowed participants to engage directly with modern translation technologies and methodologies.
In the concluding session, participants discussed strengthening academic ties between their respective institutions and KTMU. Agreements were reached on pursuing joint research projects, organizing periodic educational seminars, and enhancing academic staff and student mobility. The event concluded with a formal certificate ceremony for all participants who successfully completed the two-day program.
