Guidance and Psychological Counseling Department Students in Special Education Schools
On March 11 and 13, 2024, in two groups, KTMU, Faculty of Letters, Department of Educational Sciences, Guidance and Psychological Counseling Undergraduate Program students, Dr. Under the guidance of Kadiyan BOOBEKOVA, they visited Special Assistant Secondary School №30 in Bishkek.
School Principal Çolpon Karımşakovna ERALİEVA, deputy principals Asel UMRALİEVA, Çınara TAALAYBEK Kızı, after giving information about this special education school, its situation, features and students, distributed the RPD students three or four to various classes, allowing the students of our department to watch the lessons, get to know the students and thus enable them to get to know the students. They helped them gain more visual information about education, knowing the characteristics of children in need of special education, and providing guidance in Special Education. While a total of 256 students with mild and moderate Down syndrome, autism, spasticity, physical disabilities, mental and developmental delays, and some behavioral disorders were enrolled in the school, it was learned that there were 2-3 students from each class who were educated at home.
By attending various classes and lessons in the school, observing the teaching of lessons and the communication of students and teachers, RPD students gained a lot of new information and then shared their feelings. They received additional information by asking questions to the principal and assistant principals on topics they were curious about.
