Organized a “Panel in Memory of Ashyk Veysel”, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the death of the great poet
On November 17, 2023, the Faculty of Humanities and the Department of Turkology organized a “Panel in Memory of Ashyk Veysel”, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the death of the great poet and as part of UNESCO’s efforts to declare 2023 the “Year of Memory of Ashyk Veysel.” The panel was held in the conference hall. K. Tynystanov.
At the beginning of the program, the first vice-rector of our university and the dean of the Faculty of Humanities made an opening speech.
During the panel, Assoc. Dr. Erdal Aydogmuş, Associate Professor, Dr. Halit Ashlar and senior lecturer Chynar Zhylkychieva made presentations on the poet’s work and his similar fate to his Kyrgyz contemporary Barpy Alykulov.
