Prof.Dr.
Muhammet KAMALİ

Head of the Department

Mathematics is a system based on logic and is a basic science that provides a rational perspective as a tool to develop the mind. Mathematics is a robust, useful and universal language that has been enriched from civilization to civilization without recognizing language, race, religion and country. It is indispensable for the individual, society, science and technology. It is a science and an art that cannot be limited in its scope and depth.

The aim of our department is to educate students who have basic mathematical knowledge and the ability to think independently, who can handle the problems they encounter from different perspectives and produce potential solutions, who can use abstract thinking ability and technological possibilities in accessing information, who have social, scientific and ethical values in the stages of collecting, interpreting and announcing scientific data.

Our department has a structure that is open to innovations and constantly developing. In our undergraduate program, our students are provided with knowledge in various branches of mathematics such as Analysis, Algebra, Topology, Geometry, Number Theory, Differential Equations, Computers and gain mathematical thinking, thinking expression, analysis and problem solving skills. Our goal is to provide our graduates with the analytical thinking they will use in all areas of their lives, to give our graduate students a solid mathematical foundation that will form the basis of their research, and to instill in our students who will become teachers the love and enthusiasm for mathematics that they will reflect to their own students. Our students, who are trained as individuals who seek the solution of every problem in science, question, research, analyze, have a broad imagination, are determined and committed to national values, can find jobs as teachers in public or private institutions of primary and higher education; participate in research on economics and technical sciences; work as system or business analysts in management, finance and business departments.
