Seminar on “Preventing Violence Against Women and Children” Was Held at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University
The seminar on “Preventing Violence Against Women and Children” organized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic garnered significant attention from participants and was held at the Kasym Tynystanov Conference Hall of Manas University. The event, which took place on December 7, 2023, was part of a 16-day campaign aimed at drawing attention to the prevention of violence against women.
The seminar provided comprehensive information on the criminal code, crimes and criminal procedure laws related to violence, enhancing the awareness of the participants. Various types of violence, including physical, psychological and economic forms were discussed, ensuring that participants gained detailed insights into these issues.
Throughout the event attendees were presented with the short film “The Lonely Girl” and excerpts from the films “The White Ship” and “The Last Lesson” to illuminate the true face of violence. These films served to reveal different aspects and effects of violence in society.
