Closing Program of the Turkic World Digital Citizenship Project
The Closing Program of the Turkic World Digital Citizenship Project for the 2023-2024 year was held online on January 18, 2024. The program, organized with the theme of “Education in the Turkic World” hosted important speakers such as Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University's General Secretary, Prof. Dr. Oktay Ozgul; İnönü University's Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kızılay; İnönü University's Advisor to the Rector and Project Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Neslihan Durak; President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Prof. Dr. Isa Habibbeyli.
Inönü University's Advisor to the Rector and Project Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Neslihan Durak shared the activities carried out within the scope of the Turkic World Digital Citizenship Project in detail and thanked Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University's Rector, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan for supporting the project.
President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Prof. Dr. Isa Habibbeyli emphasized that “Education is the future of nations” and stated that youth had the opportunity to discover the richness of Turkish culture in the project.
İnönü University's Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kızılay thanked Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University's Rector, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan and expressed his belief that the project strengthened the brotherhood between the Turkic States. Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kızılay stated that more than 300 scientists supported the project.
Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University`s General Secretary, Prof. Dr. Oktay Ozgul said, “In this important project, which we carried out under the leadership of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University's Rector, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan, we have expanded our range and reached 11 countries” and drew attention to the success of the project and the active participation of 11700 students.
Prof. Dr. Oktay Ozgul stated that the successful students of the 2022-2023 Turkic World Digital Citizenship Project were hosted at Manas University and participated in the “Science Camp” courses, and educational trips were organized. Prof. Dr. Oktay Ozgul also added that they aim to further strengthen this unity that sheds light on the future of the Turkic World and that they will work with determination to ensure that the Turkic unity has a solid structure in the field of education.
