Certificate of Honor from “Kyrgyz Cinema” to Our University

The Kyrgyz Cinema Center under the Department of Cinematography of the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic awarded Manas University with the Certificate of Honor for its significant contribution to the development of the national film industry.
On January 29, 2024, Director of the Kyrgyz Cinema Center Talant Tolobekov visited the Manas University`s Vice Rector and Dean of the Faculty of Communication Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sezai Turk, presenting the Certificate of Honor.
The Kyrgyz Cinema Center aims to promote and support Kyrgyzstan`s film industry in the international arena. According to the Director Talant Tolobekov, 20 out of the 40 films were submitted by our graduates. Among the 20 finalists, 11 are also was our graduates. The top 5 films will be sent to the Cannes Film Festival with all expenses covered in the final qualifiers to be held in May. These films will also participate in festivals such as the Berlin Film Festival and the Venice Film Festival.
As Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, we take pride in our students and academicians and wish them continued success.
