Research Ethics Seminar for Graduate Students

On February 20, 2024, the seminar on “Research Ethics/Participation of Undergraduate and Graduate Students in Research and Publication” was held at the Cinema Hall of the Faculty of Communication of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University. The seminar was conducted by Prof. Uli Schamiloglu from the Faculty of Science and Humanities of Nazarbayev University. Prof. Uli Schamiloglu explained to the participants the importance of focusing on ethical values in research processes, guiding the students by providing crucial perspectives on the necessity of conducting scientific studies not only to produce knowledge but also in accordance with ethical values.

Prof. Uli Schamiloglu's remarks offered the participants a deeper perspective on scientific research, demonstrating that focusing on ethical values in research establishes a strong foundation. He also emphasized that adhering to ethical values in research and publication processes enhances credibility in the scientific world.

Through the teachings of Prof. Uli Schamiloglu, the participants had the opportunity to experience that science is not only a process of producing knowledge but also becomes more meaningful and reliable when conducted in accordance with ethical values.

The seminar continued with a question-and-answer session, following which Prof. Uli Schamiloglu was presented with a “Certificate of Appreciation.”
